Damian Hempstead

Biography

Damian Hempstead, with 15 years of industry experience across TV, Film and Musical Theatre, has steadily built a strong foundation as both an actor and storyteller. His first major television role came in Justin Kurzel’s Prime Video mini-series The Narrow Road to the Deep North, where he appears opposite Jacob Elordi as Les Whittle. The series, which premiered in April 2025, was met with exceptional reviews. Damian’s next project is his writing and directorial debut short film BACKFOOT, produced under his own banner, Damo & Tim Productions. In addition to writing and directing, he also takes on the lead role of Jay. The film is set to premiere later this year. Damian is set to play a leading role in the upcoming feature thriller The Act, directed by Benjamin Mathews, which is currently in development.
