In the near-future, the Japanese government has begun experimenting with male artificial womb transplants in order to solve the problem of childlessness. Takashi is one of the first transplant recipients, and becomes a surrogate father, producing fertilized eggs for a strange couple. One day, a man who claims to be the father of the fetus comes to visit, and in his room, they face the problem of how a man can conceive and give birth to a child.
