As the modern world searches for quick escapes from its pain, a filmmaker spends three years in the wilds of Mongolia, living among shamans and, with the guidance of Mongolian and German experts on shamanism, enters a world where ancient beliefs, spirits, and the invisible forces of existence remain part of everyday life. He explores shamans as living bridges between the visible and invisible worlds, and asks what ancient spiritual traditions might still have to say to the modern world.
